I think a Christmas tree would look great in the middle of that window wall, but the problem is finding one tall enough to do the space justice.  The peak of our ceiling is 22 feet up there.  I would love to put a tall, narrow artifical tree there.  I have found one but they want lots of $$$ for it and shipping is a lot too.  Then there is the problem of decorating UNLESS I got one of those fiber optic trees, which I love, because I am tired of putting strings of lights on the tree.  Another option is to put a tree upstairs in the master bedroom.   There is a big window there and putting a tree in the window would look nice when people drive up.  We'll see.....

Patty,
I will look for a picture of my sister in laws tree. They have the tall windows and they even have to use wires to fasten the top of the tree to the wall so it can't tip. It looks beautiful with the tree in the big windows.

Yeah, I guess that would have to be one TALL tree!  And I didn't even think about all those "logical" things like cost and decorating. (My least favorite task is stringing lights on the tree!)  But when I saw your picture of the rocking chairs and the wood-burning stove in front of that great big window, and your description of sitting there with the lights low drinking champagne.......I could envision a big, beautiful Christmas tree all lit up against a dark snowy sky.

I found a picture of Paula's tree with us in it.   It really looks nice with the big tree.

I hope this try at a picture is smaller than the last one. I need to figure this out!!!!!
