Beautiful snow!  We don't have anymore here.  What little we did have has long since melted since it rained the past two days.  It's up to a balmy 36 degrees today! lol

We've had lots of ice, but no snow. Actually it has been deemed one of the worst ice storms to have ever hit the Greenville SC area. We were without power from 8am on Thursday until 6:30pm tonight. Of course, I was more worried about keeping Schatzi warm than anything, but I shouldn't have been-she just snuggled under the covers as usual and was toasty warm! Parts of the city are still without power and may not have any until Monday or Tuesday. I have to say that yesterday was the first time I've ever seen at least 90% of the city shut down by an ice storm. The grocery stores that were open were able to do so because they had generators. Of course the mall was open. They have their own transformers, etc. They were quite crowded with Christmas shoppers and those wanting to stay warm. The sad part has been the ones who have had trees falling on their homes and the homes that have had fires. Randy had his scanner working yesterday since it would run on battery power and his district was out all day. Today he is working, but they have mostly been clearing roads and helping get some trees off of houses. Hope this is the only time this happens this winter. The ice can make for some really cool pictures!

Brrrrrr   pretty photo   don't want to see it any closer up, lol.   Been thru that too often myself.  We have some great slides of ice storms up in Missouri.  No more....so nice and toasty in Florida.....most of the time.  We do get some cold weather, tho no one ever believes it.

We finally bought a generator this year, after spending a week in horrid heat after Charlie.  We needed it after Wilma went thru here.  My heart goes out to the people whose homes caught on fire because of the ice storm.
